Hellhound fame tank with the 302nd Wasteland Reconnaissance. Note the modifications to the tank to allow it to carry additional fuel stores. This is not uncommon in units that operate over vast and wasted terrain, where a flame tank may serve double duty as a fuel transport for the rest of it's company. Posted by Picasa

Although the Mule variant is lightly armed, the Chimera hull at it's foundation is tough and versatile. This vehicle provides mobile cover for a squad of Native Rifles operating in Iolian Province. Posted by Picasa

Scouts with the 302nd move past a Hellhound in the NE suburbs of Churl.
The blue complexion of many of the personnel of the 302nd is immediately evident. This coloration is characteristic of the native population on Akira Prime, the homeworld of the Hyena Division. The unit has been subject to numerous investigations by the Ordo Xenos, but to date no genetic irregularities have been brought to light and no action taken. Posted by Picasa

A 'Rabbit' variation Chimera with the 302 'Hyena' Division, a specialized command vehicle. The Rabbit is modified to carry a vastly improved communications array at the expense of heavy firepower, but provides an outstanding mobile platform for command and control. Posted by Picasa

Leman-Russ No.7, 25 Co/302 reloads while moving to a new firing position in Kedron, Iolian Province. This vehicle also mounts considerable secondary stowage, which as previously noted is necessary to the combat mission of a Wasteland Reconnaissance Division. Posted by Picasa

Line Infantry of 51. Company entrenched and preparing to defend against an assault from the Cuyahoga Light Battalion outside Kalkovac, Premaxilla System. This action was part of Operation Astro Late, an inconclusive engagment between the two units. Posted by Picasa

A photograph of the assault, later that day, shows the Cuyahoga troops on the Hyena positions. The Light Battalion's attack was spearheaded by troops in armored carriers who gained the trenchline and assaulted with flamers, taking a heavy toll on the 302nd defenders. Posted by Picasa

An Assault rages for control of the breastworks outside Kalkovac, Premaxilla System. By mid-afternoon the attackers made great headway and established control over the eastern-most fortifications. Posted by Picasa

The battle turned when the 302nd was reinforced by their cavalry, who initiated a charge and counter-attacked the Cuyahoga Light Battalion. Amidst the resulting confusion, the Cuyahoga HQ ordered a strategic withdrawl of the battalion, moving them to another part of the line. The battle was a draw.
